TOWIE's Lydia Bright shares pride over ex James Argent's new career

The Only Way Is Essex (TOWIE) star Lydia Bright has shared her pride over ex-boyfriend James Argent's new career path.
The reality TV stars dated on and off between 2007 and 2012, and from 2015 to 2016, with Argent coupling up with TOWIE legend Gemma Collins during their split in 2012 and again from 2017 to 2020.
He is now dating Italian actress Stella Turian, while Celebrity Island with Bear Grylls star Bright went on to date her ex Lee Cronin, with whom she shares a daughter, Loretta.

However, Bright and Argent have remained great friends and have regularly gushed about each other on social media and in interviews. Speaking to The Mirror, Bright once again praised her ex following his appearance on Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins.
"He worked so hard before going on," she said. "I saw him shortly after he came back and he was so battered. He was really bruised and physically exhausted. But he did it and it's a very hard thing to sign yourself up for."
When the interviewer stated she must be "so proud" of him, she responded: "Definitely, he's 100% turned his life around. What an inspiration – and he works so hard too with his singing career.

"Any time I speak to him, I’ll ask, 'Where in the world are you now?' He’s probably been home for around two weeks in the last seven months. He's really dedicated and
makes us all proud."
It comes after Argent opened up on the "life-changing" gastric surgery he underwent in 2021 in his battle to lose weight.
Taking to Instagram, the reality TV star revealed he is the happiest he has ever been in his appearance and puts that down to the procedure.

"The last year has been incredible and life-changing. Since having gastric sleeve surgery with @wearetransform I have lost over 13st, Dropping from 27st to 14st," he captioned the post.
"The weight loss surgery alongside significant lifestyle changes has meant that I'm in the best form of my life – both physically and mentally. My surgery went smoothly and my doctors & nurses have been fantastic at explaining the procedure and guiding me through this journey – a big thank you to them."
"My journey to get to this place has taken years but I'm excited to see what the future holds and I can honestly say I have never felt as confident or more at peace with the man looking back at me in the mirror," he said.
