TOWIE's Mark Wright reveals "scariest moment of his life" in new show

The Only Way is Essex star Mark Wright experienced the "scariest moment of his life" while filming his new BBC show A Wright Family Holiday.
The new travel series sees Mark embark on a road trip across Britain with his brother Josh and dad Big Mark where they partake in a series of white-knuckle activities including skydiving and bungee jumping.
Speaking of one particularly frightening moment from the show's first episode, Mark told The One Show hosts Alex Jones and Lauren Laverne that he and his family took a six-hour trip underground to an abandoned slate mine in Wales where they spent the night.

"We slept as far underground as The Shard is high, and it took about six and a half hours to get down," Mark revealed.
Describing the ordeal, the reality TV star said they had to do a terrifying walk across some scaffolding boards attached to the side of a cliff in order to reach their destination.
"I mean, there was one part of it where there was literally a scaffold board, or a few, attached to a cliff. And you had your little ropes that you had to keep, your hooks, keep taking one off, putting one on," he explained.

During this tense moment, Mark said that they were on their own and he had to watch as his dad and brother went ahead of him.
"For that moment that they wasn't there holding our hand, like the bosses, we had to do it alone, and it was probably the scariest moment of my life 'cause I'm watching my dad do it, then I'm watching my brother do it, then I've got to do it. And at any moment, one slip, anything could happen."
A Wright Family Holiday premieres Friday, June 8 on BBC One. The Only Way is Essex airs on ITVBe.
