Former TOWIE star Megan McKenna has blasted "skinny shaming" and detailed her struggles with coeliac disease.

Following an Instagram Q&A on Monday (March 27), fans asked if Megan had lost weight. This prompted the reality star to hit back (via Daily Mail).

Posting a photo of a plate of cheesy nachos and dip in response to the comment, Megan said she still eats what she wants and hasn't lost any weight.

"Nope still here eating what I fancy... I've had a lot of skinny shaming over the years. Is skinny shaming the same as fat shaming? I don't think it is, but it should be," Megan wrote.

"I eat a lot, some days more than others, but have suffered a lot with my belly over the years... coeliac disease and I have a wheat allergy, also a touch of IBS," she added, joking that the jalapeño peppers on her nachos don't help with the condition.

During the Instagram session, Megan also gave fans a look inside her fridge, which was full of food including eggs, cheese, lots of vegetables and plenty of condiments.

Last year, Megan addressed being trolled about her weight in her gluten-free cookbook 'Can You Make That Gluten-Free?'

Writing about her battles with coeliac disease, Megan said: "The bathroom was my best friend when I was growing up.

"I've had my fair share of trolling, been called skeletal and anorexic. People need to lay off the weight comments and give those of us who suffer silently with digestive issues a break."

The Celebrity Big Brother star also previously opened up about getting sober, citing her coeliac disease as one of the reasons.

"I'm coeliac and I'd constantly have a bad belly from a night out," Megan said.

"Some nights I'd go to the toilet, be sick and then go back and carry on drinking. I was abusing my body."
