Town of Mead: Voters reelect mayor, appear ready to elect new trustee

Nov. 8—As of 7:10 p.m. Tuesday, Weld County voters reelected Mead Mayor Colleen Whitlow, and appeared to be on the way to electing a new Mead trustee and reelecting three Mead trustees to the board. Voters cast 1,257 total votes in the mayoral race and 3,789 in the trustee race.

Whitlow ran unopposed. She was first elected mayor in 2018. Before serving as mayor, she was elected to Mead's Board of Trustees in 2014.

Chris T. Parr was ahead in his trustee race with 636 votes, narrowly ahead of his father, Martin W. "Bill" Parr, who had received 602 votes. Chris T. Parr is the owner of St. Vrain Theatre Company.

Trustee Trisha Harris received 906 votes, trustee David Adams received 857 votes, and trustee Herman Schranz received 788 votes.

Acting together, the mayor and Board of Trustees are the governing body of the Town of Mead. All members of this governing body serve four-year terms.
