The town of Palm Beach is instituting a new program for post-emergency entrance onto the island.

This program is designed to allow out out-of-town residents, business owners or property representatives access to the town after an emergency event, such as a hurricane, the town said in a release.

All non-residents must submit a new application to the town. Approved names will be placed on a new Emergency Re-Entry list. All persons must be verified, using a government-issued ID, at the checkpoint, before being allowed re-entry.

All prior existing emergency re-entry lists will expire with this new program’s initiation, while the names on the new list expire Dec. 31, 2024, the town said.

Applications can be downloaded at www.palmbeachpolice.com. Completed applications and supporting documentation can be emailed to: TCR@palmbeachpolice.com or mailed to Town of Palm Beach Police Department, Community Relations Unit, 345 S. County Road, Palm Beach, FL 33480.
