The Town Talk moves to mail delivery

The Town Talk has been a vital part of the Alexandria community since its inception, bringing reliable, local and passionate journalism to our readers.

While our commitment remains steadfast, I want to let you know of an important change.

We continue to face economic and labor challenges with our newspaper delivery. Despite our best efforts, we don’t see the situation improving soon, but we have another solution.

We’re partnering with the local United States Postal Service to deliver The Town Talk with your mail, beginning Aug. 21, 2023. As the Postal Service does not deliver on Sundays, we will make every effort for you to receive your normal Sunday publication on Saturday.

We know the street address that your carrier is delivering to might not be your actual postal address. If that is the case, please let customer service at 1-800-292-0581 know so that we can ensure the correct delivery of your newspaper.

This may affect your morning routine since the newspaper will come later. For some, this may mean regularly using the eNewspaper, the electronic version of the printed paper that is available early morning. This replica of the newspaper, accessible on your computer or mobile device, can be found at thenewsstar.com/enewspaper. It has features that allow you to easily read articles as you flip through the pages, solve puzzles and catch up on comics. The eNewspaper can even read stories to you.

With your subscription, you also have universal access to eNewspaper publications across our network, including USA TODAY as well as unlimited access to the USA TODAY Crossword digital app and site.

Your subscription will continue to provide you full access to thetowntalk.com plus early morning newsletters delivered to your email. These emails will provide you with highlights so that you can jump right into these stories and enjoy the rest of the paper later in the day.

We look forward to continuing to serve you with news and information in The Town Talk.
