This holiday season a new trend is circulating on social media: giving back.

TikToks of people shopping for those who need a little extra holiday magic have been going viral, prompting a heightened focus on how to spread the love this December.

So, are you taking a note out of TikTok's book? Here are some ways you can give back this season:

Gift Drives in South Jersey

Salvation Army Angel Trees

The Salvation Army has partnered with participating Walmarts to sponsor children in need with their Angel Tree program.

If you'd prefer to shop online, look here for your local Salvation Army's online registry.

Toys for Tots

Odds are, you've seen multiple Toys for Tots gift drives spring up in your local community.

But, if you're trying to find a place to drop up some new, unwrapped toys, check out these AAA locations partnering with the campaign:

  • 700 Laurel Oak Road, Voorhees

  • 380 Egg Harbor Road, Suite C8 and C9, Sewell

  • 2190 North 2nd St., Millville

Where to donate coats in South Jersey

Do you have clean, new or gently-used coats that you don't wear anymore?

Consider donating them to someone in need.

One Warm Coat, a national nonprofit, has provided free coats to children and adults since 1992.

Here's a list of some South Jersey partners and donation sites:

  • Threads for Success, 301 1st Avenue, Barrington

  • Angels Community Outreach, 334 S Broadway, Pitman

South Jersey food banks

People in South Jersey have relied heavily on food distributions this holiday season.

The year so far has been challenging, according to Kori Rife, senior manager of marketing and communications at the Food Bank of South Jersey.

FBSJ has seen at least a 20 percent increase in distributed food and a 45 percent increase in neighbors helped over the last year.

Burlington County Times' Give a Christmas

Give a Christmas is an annual initiative between the Burlington County Times and NJ 211 to provide monetary assistance to Burlington County families. It depends on donations from community members like you.

Donors can visit The Burlington County Times' website to submit their donation for the Give a Christmas project.
