Track and field nominees announced for the Sarasota, Manatee, and Charlotte High School Sports Awards May 24

The Sarasota Herald-Tribune is proud to announce track and field nominees for the 2022 Sarasota, Manatee, and Charlotte High School Sports Awards at 7:30 p.m. on May 24 at the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall. The show is produced with support from Lakewood Ranch.

More than 200 high school athletes from across the Sarasota, Manatee, and Charlotte area will be honored at the show. The show will also name players of the year for more than 20 sports and include several major awards, including overall Players of the Year, Team of the Year, Coach of the Year and a Courage Award. Fred McGriff will join the show as a guest speaker.

Each nominated athlete will receive one free ticket for their admittance to the show. Additional tickets may be purchased here.

The Sarasota, Manatee, and Charlotte High School Sports Awards is part of the USA Today High School Sports Awards program, the largest high school sports recognition program in the country.
