Tracking Auburn football's 2022 NFL undrafted free agent signings: Full list of UDFAs

AUBURN — The conclusion of the 2022 NFL Draft means the immediate rush of undrafted free agent signings for Auburn football players still looking for work.

The Tigers only had three players with a realistic chance to be drafted, and just one received the call: cornerback Roger McCreary in the second round (No. 35 overall), while safety Smoke Monday and linebacker Zakoby McClain went undrafted.

Those will reach UDFA deals and try to make rosters. Here are the signings, updated as they are reported.

NEXT GENERATION: Setback didn't stop Auburn football's breakout star of spring practice from enrolling early

BRYAN HARSIN: Top-10 in ESPN's football power index? Not even Auburn wants to see that. Here's why

Brodarious Hamm

The offensive lineman known as "Bro Hamm" is headed to Baltimore for a mini camp tryout with the Ravens, his agent told the Advertiser.

Hamm overcame cancer to start 20 games in his five-year Auburn career, including 12 at right tackle his senior season. He has been cross-trained at guard. Hamm's goal was weight loss after graduating; he credits his wife with helping him cut red meat from his diet.

Bydarrius Knighten

The former Southeast Missouri State safety has a mini camp tryout with the Chicago Bears, he told the Advertiser.

Knighten worked his way into the starting secondary during his lone season at Auburn, playing mostly free safety. He trained in Nashville after the season. NFL teams often asked him about versatility. "I can play a little bit of nickel," he said. "You can move me outside to corner if you need to. Just show them that I can flip my hips, get in and out of breaks like a corner can."

Zakoby McClain

The linebacker signed with the Baltimore Ravens, his agency confirmed to the Advertiser.

McClain was widely projected to be picked in the seventh round Saturday, but he fell out of the draft. He led Auburn in tackles back-to-back seasons and etched his name in Iron Bowl history with a 100-yard interception return for a touchdown in 2019. McClain said he wanted to focus on zone coverage and strength during draft preparation.

Smoke Monday

Monday signed with the New Orleans Saints, his agent told the Advertiser.

Monday surprisingly fell out of the draft after being projected as high as the fifth round. The Auburn safety is a hard-hitting defensive back who is best against the run. His coverage was the common concern among NFL teams, and Monday said he worked on improving his twitchiness during draft preparation.

TD Moultry

Moultry, a defensive end from Birmingham, signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers, his agency announced.

Moultry had four sacks as a senior. He's hopeful to get special teams opportunities on an NFL roster. A conversation with NFL defensive end Cam Jordan motivated Moultry. "Special teams gets most players on the field," he said. "What kept (Jordan) on the field was special teams. His second year they put him outside and he kept doing good. Now, Cam Jordan is who Cam Jordan is now.”

Demetris Robertson

Robertson signed with the Seattle Seahawks on Saturday night, his agent told the Advertiser.

A former Georgia receiver, he had 37 catches for 489 yards in his lone season at Auburn. His goal is to show prowess beyond special teams. "I don't feel like I get all the credit I should," he said after pro day, "and I just want to keep proving to myself, the scouts and the NFL that I'm that guy."

Chandler Wooten

A linebacker and former Auburn team captain, Wooten signed with the Arizona Cardinals, his agent told the Advertiser.

Wooten had an impressive road to becoming Auburn's second-leading tackler in 2021. He opted out of the 2020 season because of COVID-19 concerns for the health of his newborn son, Chance. Then he returned, earned the trust of Bryan Harsin's new coaching staff and started every game, finishing with 94 tackles.
