Tractor shed catches fire at manufacturer in Upper Tulpehocken Township

Mar. 15—Crews responded Wednesday afternoon to reports of a fire in a tractor shed of East Coast Erosion Control, 443 Bricker Road, Upper Tulpehocken Township.

Initial calls came in about 1:20 p.m., reporting that hay bales behind the large shed caught fire and spread to the structure.

Fire crews tried to protect the structures surrounding the building, which was engulfed in flames.

Firefighters eventually had to dismantle the shed to control the fire, according to reports.

The fire was under control about 2:40 p.m., with crews searching the area for smoldering remains.
