Tracy city council member pushes for more monkeypox vaccine supply as cases go up

Roughly 2,000 monkeypox cases have been confirmed in California and as numbers keep going up, Tracy City Council member Dan Arriola is one of the seven confirmed cases in San Joaquin County. This week he spoke about his diagnosis before the Senate Select Committee on Monkeypox. While he showed his first symptoms on July 27th, getting tested was a complicated process. "I went to the doctor's office, she felt unprepared, she didn't have the proper testing equipment," he added that he then went to the emergency room for a test but was surprised at the little knowledge there was, "They had never tested someone before, so they had to do research on how to do it."
