Trade suggestion has Sixers making a move for Thunder guard George Hill

The trade deadline is a little less than three weeks away in the NBA and that means it is time to begin coming up with trade suggestions in order to try and strengthen a team for a potential title run.

For the Philadelphia 76ers, it’s no secret that they could use some help off the bench. The team’s bench unit has been up and down and they could use a boost there as they look to make a run to the championship.

One option has been Sacramento Kings forward Nemanja Bjelica who is a guy who the team has checked in on. Another option is going after a veteran point guard who has a lot of experience in the playoffs as Tyrese Maxey and Shake Milton are still young pieces.

A trade suggestion from Bleacher Report has the Sixers acquiring George Hill from the Oklahoma City Thunder in exchange for Vincent Poirier, Mike Scott, and a top-18 protected 2021 first-round pick.

B/R on the deal:

Both Maxey and Milton have higher ceilings as from-scratch creators, but they likewise induce more variance into the Sixers’ attack. Hill is by far the more tried-and-true shooter. His 38.6 percent clip from deep might even climb when he has Ben Simmons teeing up threes for him. His off-the-dribble game is more basic, but he can chaperone the offense and is hitting 61.5 percent of his looks on drives—a top-three mark among 154 players who have taken at least as many shots in such situations.

The Sixers will most likely be active ahead of the March 25 deadline, especially with a guy like Daryl Morey at the helm, so Philadelphia will be exhausting all options in order to get the team in its best position to go deep into the playoffs.
