Trader Joe’s Latest Everything But the Bagel Concoction Will Change Breakfast as You Know It

Trader Joe’s somehow made it possible to love Everything But the Bagel even more.

Trader Joe’s has become more of a cultural phenomenon than most other grocery stores, with tips of what to buy, tricks to save, and all the newest locations constantly being blasted across the fanatic TJ’s community. Comparing the store’s Umami Blend to the Everything But the Bagel Sesame seasoning has even become a regular part of conversation—and if you don’t have an opinion, you’ve basically been living under a rock.

So imagine our surprise when we discovered there is a latest, and possibly greatest, item from Trader Joe’s that’s still slipping by under the radar. Combining two New York delicacies, everything bagels and smoked salmon, Trader Joe’s has just come out with the Everything But the Bagel Seasoned Smoked Salmon.

While the famous bagel seasoning blend has been making it possible to get a bagel breakfast without all of the dense carbs for some time now, Trader Joe’s newest creation opens up the Everything Bagel-flavored meal options even more. You’re probably already imagining all the breakfast dishes you can enhance using this new concoction, like smoked salmon eggs on toast and quiches, but the lunch and dinner possibilities are wide open, too.

Top a spinach salad with the smoked salmon, drizzle on some creamy dill dressing, and toss in any other toppings you like with that flavor profile (I’m a fan of tomatoes and cucumbers here). Or, spice up a grain or cauliflower rice bowl with some EBTB smoked salmon slices for a quick and easy weeknight dinner. It is worth noting that the salmon used for the product is farm-raised–but even if you people prefer wild salmon, it’s hard not to be excited about how easy Trader Joe’s is making it to bring a gourmet-tasting bagels, lox, and schmear board into your own kitchen.
