Trader Joe’s Is Spreading Love To Your Cat With Treat-Filled Advent Calendars

Trader Joe's announced they'd be selling cat advent calendars this year, and the glorious day is finally upon us. You can get your paws hands on an advent calendar for your feline friend because they've officially been spotted in stores.

Calendars only cost $5.99 each to earn undying love and affection from your cat, so it's definitely worth it. Instagram user @TraderJoesMyHomeboy spotted the calendars but said that it seems there is only a limited stock at each store, which makes it even more sought after.
The calendar has 24 salmon and dried seaweed treats to feed your cat leading up to Christmas day. And, you can't totally leave your dog out of the fun, so make sure you get a dog advent calendar for them, too. Oh, and a boozy one for you, of course!

Dogs near and far are jealous right now. Why, you ask? Because Trader Joe's just announced it has a new advent calendar hitting stores soon, which just so happens to be filled with yummy treats for cats. This news comes just in time for the holiday season and it will undoubtedly give your kitties something to smile (or just meow) about.
Vice president of product marketing Matt Sloan and vice president of merchandising Colin Fields chimed in on this salmon and seaweed-flavored product in the Inside Trader Joe's podcast. In the podcast's 17th episode, the Trader Joe's higher-ups divulged details into the festive gift for felines.
"Last year we came out with the dog advent calendar, which seemed pretty odd until we got out in the stores and there was quite a following for it," Colin said: "And we heard from our feline-loving customers that we should have something for their cats. So we found it, we developed it, and it's pretty cool."

According to Colin, the treats might not be the tastiest human snacks (...understandably), "But if you're a cat, you'll really like that. And after eating 24 of them, your 25th one will be a gigantic one, shaped like a fish."
