With Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), a Mexican holiday coinciding with Halloween, quickly approaching, we need to have our decorations ready to go. Bright skulls are a festive symbol associated with the holiday, and Trader Joe’s has put their own spin on them.

The ceramic sugar skull succulents feature Tillandsias (air plants). This variety doesn’t require that much attention, so you can keep it happy misting it with water and giving a bit of sun.

You can get the sugar skull succulents in all different colors — including pink, purple, light blue, dark blue, red, white, and black — with colorful designs. Trader Joe’s first came out with the festive plants a few years ago. The mini one is $3.99 and the larger version is $9.99. The size difference is distinct, so choose accordingly to find the right one for your space.
