The Tennessee Titans selected Arkansas wide receiver Treylon Burks in the first round with the No. 18 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft on Thursday.

The Titans moved up to No. 18 after trading star wideout A.J. Brown to the Philadelphia Eagles. Tennessee also received pick No. 101 (third round) in the deal.

Burks had been compared to Brown in the pre-draft process and will now be asked to replace him.

A physical receiver, the 6-foot-3, 225-pound Burks had 66 receptions for 1,104 yards and 11 touchdowns for Arkansas last season.

The Titans will need Burks to provide immediate impact. Their last two first-round selections — offensive tackle Isaiah Wilson and cornerback Caleb Farley — have played a combined four games. An all-time draft bust, Wilson had a series of issues on and off the field as a rookie, appearing in just one game before getting traded in March 2021. Farley, drafted last year despite health concerns, played just three games as a rookie due to injury.

General manager Jon Robinson’s track record in the first round has been shaky overall. Just two of his first seven first-round picks are still on the roster: Farley and star defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons, who had his fifth-year option for 2023 picked up Wednesday.

The Titans still have their original first-round pick at No. 26 overall.
