From traditional to Billy Porter; men are creating memorable red carpert moments

Red carpet moments aren't just for women anymore, as men are starting to show off their fashion sense more and more.

Whether it's a pop of color or the entire color wheel, fashion stylist Robert Austin of The Groom's Garçon said it's all about aesthetic and the power of accessories.

"We're going to see men are just not wearing bracelets and rings, but they're wearing, you know, brooches, lapel brooches. They're wearing colors, you're wearing like things like Virgil did with Louis Vuitton wear they did the harnesses…..If you have the proper accessories, it catapults it into another universe."

On this year's Oscars red carpet Austin predicted velvet will be a favorite of many of Hollywood's leading men: "It's a big hit at the Oscars because it's so versatile."

If you don't have a movie star's budget Austin explained creating a luxury look can be done with two things:

"You have this amazing, bright, beautiful paisley pocket square, couple it with a bright color sock and black shoe and people will think you spent multi thousands of dollars."

On Oscar Sunday Austin said he'll be looking for the following men to create a statement on the red carpet.

"I'm intrigued to see Michael B Jordan. He always brings it with the accessories," he said.

"And believe it or not, which a lot of you don't really talk about, Ryan Seacrest. Ryan Seacrest seems to bring it quietly, but, you know, very loudly in some ways."

"Elton John, but of course with his husband, because they bring it together, they complement each other so well. And we cannot forget the one and only Billy Porter. You know, he brings it Met gala, even if it's not the Met gala."
