Traffic Accidents Force Highway Closures Across Eastern Oregon Amid Winter Weather Advisory

Winter weather caused dangerous driving conditions across roadways in eastern Oregon on Wednesday, January 5, as unchained semis blocked lanes and vehicle crashes forced highway closures.

Footage released by the Oregon Department of Transportation shows tow operations on Interstate 84 and snow removal on Oregon 334, they said.

Mixed precipitation with ice accumulations and up to four inches of snowfall was forecast for parts of Oregon and Washington into Thursday, the NWS said. Credit: Oregon Department of Transportation via Storyful
