Driving on I-25 at night this week? There are ramp closures at Loveland

Full closures of the U.S. Highway 34 on- and off-ramps at Interstate 25 will take place at night this week so crews can place striping and prepare for the final alignment at the busy interchange.

How long will the ramps be closed each night?

The intermittent lane closures on the ramps will take place from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. May 1-5, from Hahns Peak Drive west of the interchange to Larimer Parkway on the east.

Detour signs will be in place.

What are the detour routes during the closures?

Instead of getting on or off I-25 at U.S. 34, you'll instead do that at Colorado Highway 402 or Crossroads Boulevard.

The official detours are:

  • Northbound I-25: Off-ramp at U.S. 34 traffic will continue north on I-25 to Exit 259/Crossroads Boulevard, exit, turn left and continue to southbound I-25 to Exit 257/U.S. 34. On-ramp drivers will go south on I-25 to Exit 255/Colorado Highway 402, exit, turn left and continue to northbound I-25.

  • Southbound I-25: Off-ramp to U.S. 34 traffic will continue south on I-25 to Exit 255/Colorado 402, exit, turn left and continue to northbound I-25 to Exit 257/U.S. 34. On-ramp drivers will go north on I-25 to Exit 259/Crossroads Boulevard, exit, turn left and continue onto southbound I-25.

Why is this work being done?

The work is part of the $750 million North I-25 Express Lanes project.
