A car crash on Tamiami Trail East blocked two lanes of traffic Monday morning, but both lanes have now reopened, according to the Collier County Sheriff’s Office and the Florida Highway Patrol.

The crash happened at 9:58 a.m. on U.S. 41 near Union Road, the Florida Highway Patrol said in a news release. Three adults and two children received minor injuries.

An eastbound car driven by a 57-year-old woman crossed the double-yellow center line and collided with another car traveling westbound on U.S. 41.

Both lanes of traffic were clear by about 12:30 p.m., according to the FHP.
