Traffic incidents and restrictions pile up amid early February storm

SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — The latest storm to hit northern Utah’s valleys is causing a headache for drivers along the Wasatch Front.

Several of the crashes have resulted in lane closures along I-15, I-215 and I-80. UDOT’s traffic map does not report any significant traffic delays caused by the crashes, with the exception of some delays in Layton near Layton Parkway, on I-80 near Emory and in Parley’s Canyon near Lamb’s Canyon.

In addition to crashes, traction law restrictions have been put into place for several mountainous roads in Utah, including Little and Big Cottonwood Canyon.

UDOT is warning drivers that they may see delays caused by mountain snow and a rain/snow mix in the valleys until 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 7. As colder air moves into the state on Thursday and Friday, UDOT expects there to be more road weather alerts.

As of Wednesday, Feb. 7, UDOT said the following roads will be experiencing weather-related travel concerns:
