Traffic stop leads to arrest of Joaquin man found to have 1 pound of marijuana

HARRISON COUNTY, Texas (KETK) – The Harrison County Sherriff’s Office said a Joaquin man was arrested on Monday after conducting a traffic stop that revealed he was carrying a pound of marijuana.

According to the sheriff’s office, a traffic stop was conducted on Highway 59 that led to the arrest of Jason Watts, 40, after officials allegedly had probable cause and located a pound of marijuana and THC vapes in his possession.

“Again if you’re going to ride dirty follow traffic laws and you will not get stopped,” the sheriff’s office said.

Watts was arrested on manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana. Watts is currently held at the Harrison County Jail.
