Mar. 10—Tanya Tucker has seen country music trends come and go, and she's outlasted them all. Tucker burst upon the scene as a precocious 13-year-old in 1972 with her top 10 debut single "Delta Dawn," and she has spent the ensuing five decades pursuing her own eclectic muse. She topped the country charts multiple times in the '70s and made forays into rock 'n' roll before making her feature film debut in 1981's Hard Country.

Tucker, who has released 25 studio albums, is the only woman listed in Country Music Television's Greatest Country Outlaws, sharing a stage with luminaries like Johnny Cash, Hank Williams, Waylon Jennings, and Kris Kristofferson. Her latest album, While I'm Living, was honored at the Grammys for Best Country Album in 2020, and her single "Bring My Flowers Now" took the honors for Best Country Song.
