  • The trailer for a Trump documentary that reportedly blindsided aides was released by Discovery+.

  • The first look at the three-part series comes as footage was subpoenaed by the House committee investigating the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riot.

  • Trump and three of his adult children are all featured in the trailer for the documentary.

The public got a sneak peek at the documentary that reportedly blindsided former President Donald Trump's aides as Discovery+ released the trailer for the three-part series titled "Unprecedented."

The teaser trailer is only 30 seconds long but includes bits of interviews from three of Trump's adult children — Ivanka Trump, Donald Trump Jr., and Eric Trump — plus an interview with the former president himself.

"He believes everything he's doing is right," Trump Jr. says to the camera.

In the last clip in the trailer, the filmmaker asks Trump if they can talk about January 6, 2021, to which he replies, "yep."

The House committee investigating the January 6, 2021, Capitol riot subpoenaed hours of footage from the documentary's filmmaker, Alex Holder, to review for their investigation, Politico reported.

Many top advisors were surprised when news that the documentary existed first broke, the New York Times reported.

One former top Trump 2020 official texted Rolling Stone, "what the fuck is this?" when the project came to light.

The January 6 committee will meet for its fifth hearing at 3 p.m. Thursday.
