The first trailer is out for Will Smith's new football film "Concussion," set to hit cinemas on December 25.
The film is based on the real-life research of neuropathologist Bennet Omalu, according to The Verge, who discovered the link between repeated head trauma and a neuro-degenerative disease in the brains of former NFL players Dave Duerson and Andre Waters.
Duerson and Waters, who suffered from chronic traumatic encephalopathy or CTE, eventually committed suicide.
The film is directed by Peter Landesman, who also wrote the script, and will be released by Columbia Pictures.
