The official trailer for Wes Anderson’s upcoming film “Asteroid City” was released on Wednesday.

The film, which was directed, co-produced and co-written by Anderson, is set in a fictional American desert town in the 1950s. It is Anderson’s most recent movie since 2021’s “The French Dispatch.”

“The itinerary of a Junior Stargazer/Space Cadet convention (organized to bring together students and parents from across the country for fellowship and scholarly competition) is spectacularly disrupted by world-changing events,” the film’s synopsis states.

“Asteroid City’s” star-studded cast includes Oscar nominee Hong Chau ("The Whale," "The Night Agent") and Stephen Park (“The French Dispatch,” “Fargo”).
