Donato J. Tramuto will speak about this new book "The Double Bottom Line" at the Ogunquit Playhouse on Sunday, Aug. 21.

Held at the historic Ogunquit Playhouse at 10 Main Street, in Ogunquit, ME, the authors’ presentation will be followed by a conversation with Bangor School District’s Director of Guidance Dr. Adam Leach and other panelists, an audience question and answer session, and a book signing.

"The Double Bottom Line" shares original research fielded among 1,500 U.S. workers, and in-depth interviews with 40 successful leaders who practice compassionate leadership. Tramuto’s research exposed a compassionate leadership gap - leaders express support for compassionate practices, but most workers don't perceive their leaders to be practicing compassionate leadership adequately, if at all. Tramuto puts forth proven strategies to close that compassionate leadership gap and drive results. Filled with inspiring stories and actionable examples from successful high-profile employers, "The Double Bottom Line" defines a new model of leadership and examines how to cultivate more compassionate people.

Recognized by The New York Times as a global health activist, Tramuto is the former CEO of Tivity Health and founder of the TramutoPorter Foundation and Health eVillages. He has nearly four decades of business leadership experience and is most notable for his ability to balance transactional and transformational leadership within organizations. Tramuto launched two successful start-ups, led the turnaround of a public healthcare company, and executed innovative programs leading to sustainable business results through his Compassionate Leadership approach. He was the recipient of the prestigious Robert F. Kennedy Ripple of Hope Award in 2014 and the Robert F. Kennedy Embracing His Legacy Award in 2017.

Tami Booth Corwin is a veteran publishing and media executive, writer, content creator, marketer, and advisor. Corwin was recognized in The Wall Street Journal’s “50 Women to Watch” list for ‘leading a striking turnaround’ at Rodale’s book division. She has appeared or been featured in media outlets such as The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and CNBC.
