Trans pregnant man Logan Brown featured on cover of Glamour U.K.

A proud and pregnant transgender man is the cover star of the Pride issue of Glamour U.K.

Logan Brown, a British author and residential children’s support worker, first gained notoriety in late 2022 after announcing his pregnancy and sharing his journey on his blog, “Up the Duff Man.”

On Thursday, the first day of LGBTQ Pride Month, the 27-year-old added another line to his resume, by becoming the first transgender man to grace the cover of British Glamour — wearing a painted-on suit and showing off his blossoming baby bump.

Glamour, a publication geared towards women, said its Pride issue sought to celebrate “the allyship that exists between women (cisgender or not) and transgender people through our shared experiences — in particular pregnancy, healthcare and childbirth.”

In a wide-ranging interview that took place two weeks before the birth of baby Nova, Brown spoke candidly about queer love, gender identity, transphobia, as well as navigating U.K.’s public health system as a pregnant trans man.

Brown said he and his partner, Bailey J Mills, unexpectedly found out about his pregnancy last year.

“One day, I had this really weird feeling; it was early in the morning and Bailey was asleep,” he said. “I took a pregnancy test and it was positive,” adding he was temporarily off testosterone due to some health issues.

“It was like my whole world just stopped,” he said. “That everything, all my manhood that I’ve worked hard for, for so long, just completely felt like it was erased.”

But after telling Mills, a nonbinary drag performer from the U.K., Brown embraced his pregnancy and saw the moment as a form of empowerment.

“I was, like, ‘I’m never gonna get this opportunity again’ to – as a queer couple – have a baby that’s biologically both ours. Which is really special to me, and eventually, something just clicked,” he said.

A few weeks after Brown and Mills became the proud parents of a baby girl, the Pride cover model said, while the labor experience was “challenging,” it all worked out in the end.

“I feel like I’ve only just got out of a dream that I’ve been in the past few days,” he said. “I just look at her and think, ‘Wow, you are really precious.’”
