Trash pickups change for the Christmas holiday. Here are schedules in Triangle towns
Local governments in the Triangle will be closed Monday to observe the Christmas holiday on Dec. 25.
That means your normally scheduled trash and recycling pickup could be changed — or most likely, delayed — next week.
Here are the schedules in cities and counties around the Triangle, and when you can expect to have your trash and recycling picked up.
Raleigh Christmas garbage schedule
Trash and recycling collection will not be impacted by the Christmas holiday. The Yard Waste Center, though, will be closed Saturday Dec. 23 through Wednesday, Dec. 27.

Cary Christmas garbage schedule
Trash and recycling collection will be delayed by one day for all customers and extend into Friday. There will be no collection on Monday.
The Citizen’s Convenience Center will be closed Monday and operate on limited hours (from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.) on Sunday, Dec. 24.

Apex Christmas garbage schedule
Trash and recycling collection will be delayed by one day for all customers and extend into Saturday. There will be no collection on Monday.
Yard waste crews will service as many homes as possible Thursday and Friday, the town says.
Apex residents can sign up to receive notifications when changes to solid waste collection schedules are made. Visit apexnc.org/1115/Solid-Waste-Collection-Reminders.

City of Durham Christmas garbage schedule
All curbside collections for garbage, recycling, and yard waste will be delayed by one business day beginning Tuesday, Dec. 26 through at least the first full week of January.
The Waste Disposal and Recycling Center, Yard Waste Facility and the Household Hazardous Waste Center will be closed on Saturday, Dec. 23 and Monday, Dec. 25.

Carrboro Christmas garbage schedule
Solid waste services will complete operations one day early during the week of Christmas.
Wednesday pickups will be moved to Tuesday, Dec. 19.
Thursday pickups will be moved to Wednesday, Dec. 20
Friday pickups will be moved to Thursday, Dec. 21.
There will be no yard waste collected this week.

Chapel Hill Christmas garbage schedule
Residential trash pickups will be delayed during Christmas week.
Monday pickups will be moved to Thursday, Dec. 28.
Tuesday pickups will be moved to Friday, Dec. 29.
There will be no yard trimmings collection this week.
Commercial trash collection scheduled for Monday and Tuesday will be completed by the end of the week.

Garner Christmas garbage schedule
Monday routes will be delayed by one day and collected Tuesday instead. All other residents should place containers out on their regular day.

Trash and recycling collection will be delayed by one day for all customers and extend into Saturday. There will be no collection on Monday.

Garbage collection will be delayed by one day beginning Monday, so trash and recycling collection will take place one day later for all customers.

There will be no solid waste collection Monday or Tuesday. Instead, Friday and Monday routes will be combined on Friday, Dec. 22, and Tuesday and Wednesday routes will be combined on Wednesday, Dec. 27.

Wake Forest Christmas garbage schedule
Trash and recycling collection will be delayed by one day for all customers and extend into Saturday. There will be no collection on Monday.
Yard waste and loose leaf collection will be suspended, allowing crews to collect Christmas trees and make repairs to collection equipment.
