Travel abroad from Ukraine will be restricted only for mobilized women, not all women under military registration, said Fedir Venislavsky, a member of the parliamentary committee on national security, defense, and intelligence and the president’s representative in the Verkhovna Rada, as reported by RBK-Ukraine on Sept. 8.

“When it comes to travel abroad restrictions for women subject to military service, these restrictions will apply exclusively to women who have already been mobilized in accordance with various mobilization tasks. This is because, upon acquiring the status of military personnel, these women gain corresponding rights and limitations,” he stated.

The travel restrictions will not apply to women who are yet to be placed under military registration, making it clear that this issue is not currently under consideration.

While there are women currently under military registration, no restrictions on their foreign travel have been implemented.

Earlier, Venislavsky announced that women with medical or pharmaceutical education who will be registered in the military from Oct. 1, 2023 will be classified as military personnel subject to travel restrictions abroad.

Ukraine’s State Border Guard Service confirmed that there has not yet been any changes to border crossing rules for women.
