Travel ban probably would not keep mutated virus out of US, doctor says

Dr. Ashish Jha, dean of Brown University’s School of Public Health, tells TODAY that although the mutated coronavirus raging in the United Kingdom is more contagious, there is “no evidence that it’s any deadlier,” and it should be susceptible to vaccine. He says he’s “not opposed” to a travel ban from the U.K., but “I doubt it would keep it out.” He recommends people stay home this Christmas: “This is the time to hunker down.”
