The Chiefs received the Lamar Hunt Trophy on the M&T Bank Stadium field Sunday, but they weren’t alone.

Family and friends joined the team following the Chiefs’ 17-10 win over the Ravens in the AFC Championship Game. Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and his brother, Jason, talked about the ceremony on Wednesday’s episode of their “New Heights” podcast.

Travis Kelce shared insight into what means the most to him.

“The only people that mattered are family, friends, and the people that came on the ... flight with us, dude,” he said. “That’s all I give a (care) about. All the extra is just, you know, for show I guess. I only cared about seeing you guys and having fun with the guys we just won that game with.”

Jason Kelce was on the field, along with the Kelce brothers’ parents and Travis Kelce’s girlfriend, singer Taylor Swift.

The brothers loved the vial photo of Swift and Chiefs coach Andy Reid pointing at each other.

“We’ve already talked about how they know each other from the Philly days, shout out to Scott Swift, big Scott. Him and Andy are good friends,” Travis Kelce said.

“That was a cool moment to see afterward, I didn’t get to see it as I was up on the stage screaming, ‘Fight for your right!’ But that was a cool one.”

Jason added that Swift is part of the family.

“We had the whole family down on the field We had me, mom, dad and Taylor,” Jason Kelce said. “Everybody was down there.”

Travis Kelce talked about how Sunday’s victory meant more to him than other AFC championships.

“It feels like it was a little bit sweeter,” he said. “I don’t want to rip out anybody’s heart in KC, but this road to where we are now has been more of a challenge which means you have to overcome more, which means it kind of means a little bit more.

“Although I cherish all the games that I play in Arrowhead, every single one of them, baby, this one meant a lot. It meant a lot because of the guys we had, and how we persevered through a lot of things we weren’t doing during the season and it just felt that much better with those guys.”
