Travis King's mother: “I just want my son back”

STORY: "I just want my son back. Get my son home. Get my son home, and pray. Pray that he comes back," Claudine Gates said outside her home in Wisconsin, accompanied by a friend and King's uncle, Myron Gates.

Myron Gates asked the media for privacy, and deferred all questions to the U.S. Military.

North Korea remained silent on Thursday (July 20) about Private Travis T. King, who crossed the border two days earlier, landing Washington in a new diplomatic quandary, at a time of heightened tensions on the Korean penninsula.

U.S. officials said Pyongyang has not responded to communication from the American military about King.

North Korea's state media, which in the past reported on the detention of U.S. nationals, have also not commented on the incident so far.
