Treasure Coast holding steady with up to 69% of residents fully vaccinated against COVID-19
Some 69% of people living in Indian River County are fully vaccinated as of Jan. 26, according to data from Florida Department of Health.
In Martin County, that number is 63% and in St. Lucie County 60% of residents are fully vaccinated.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention considers someone fully vaccinated two weeks after they've been given a single-dose shot (Johnson & Johnson) or a second shot (either Pfizer or Moderna).
Florida reported 5,383,094 total cases of coronavirus, an increase of 4% from the week before.
The five counties with the highest percentage of their population fully vaccinated in Florida as of Jan. 25 are Sumter County (86%), Miami-Dade County (82%), Osceola County (78%), St. Johns County (77%) and Monroe County (74%).
