Treefort Music Fest is getting a jump on 2023.

The downtown Boise festival has announced its first wave of musical acts — 185 of them — including Main Stage headliners during all five days of the event March 22-26.

The final act each night on the Main Stage will be New Zealand psych-rock band Unknown Mortal Orchestra, masked rapper Leikeli47, country singer Margo Price, indie-rockers Surf Curse and R&B-and-pop-influenced singer-songwriter Cautious Clay. Treefort’s Main Stage will be outdoors at Julia Davis Park. During the prior decade, it was located in a parking lot at 12th and Grove streets.

Held annually, Treefort draws thousands of fans to venues throughout downtown Boise. Other performers booked at next year’s event include Ani DiFranco, Thumpasaurus, Tom The Mail Man, Lady Wray, Kae Tempest and many more. The rest of the first-wave announcement is posted at treefortmusicfest.com.

Treefort also has revealed several major players coming to its arts-related “subforts”: Comedyfort, Hackfort, Kidfort, Storyfort and more. Those, too, are posted at the official website.

Festival passes are available now, according to a media release: “Five-day festival passes are $250, Zipline passes are $420, and U21 passes are $150. Single day, main stage, and fort badge tickets will be available in the coming months. Kids age 12 and under are free to attend with an adult passholder.
