Trees in Turks and Caicos Damaged by Hurricane Isaias

Hurricane Isaias passed through Turks and Caicos overnight on July 30 to 31, with video uploaded on July 31 showing flooding and damage to local trees.

The former tropical storm was upgraded to a hurricane overnight, the National Hurricane Center said.

Footage of the storm’s aftermath shows flooded streets and downed palm trees.

The National Hurricane Center warned that “potentially life-threatening flooding and mudslides” were possible across the Dominican Republic, northern Haiti, Turks and Caicos, and the Bahamas. Credit: @Emi_oto via Storyful
