Trevor Noah cries over impeachment proceedings
What brought late-night comic Trevor Noah to tears when talking about the impeachment proceedings? I'll give you a hint: It wasn't the slow pace at which things are moving.
On Thursday, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced during a news conference that the Judiciary Committee was to begin drafting articles of impeachment. And while President Donald Trump has dodged them before, comic Jimmy Kimmel points out that this is one draft the commander in chief won't be able to sidestep.
Pelosi's call for articles of impeachment was no surprise — weeks of hearings have brought confirmations of quid pro quo from members of the administration and analysis from constitutional scholars that included one-liners like "if what we're talking about is not impeachable, then nothing is impeachable."
However, the speaker's stormy end to the news conference was a bit shocking. Find out what made her drop the mike (see James Corden's re-creation) and tell a journalist "don't mess with me."
