She was born in Tacoma and lived in the Tri-Cities for 70 years.

She was a retired cook.

Betty Louise De LA Cruz, 90, of Pasco, died March 12 at Tri-Cities Retirement Inn.

She was born in Payette, Idaho, and lived in the Tri-Cities for 32 years.

She was a retired cook for the Franklin School District.

Wesley Gene Coons, 95, of Richland, died March 8 in Richland.

He was born in McKenzie, N.D., and lived in the Tri-Cities area for four years.

He was a retired business owner.

Daniel Eugene Shelton, 58, of Richland, died March 8 in Richland.

He was born in Richland and was a lifelong Tri-Cities resident.

He was a carpenter and drywall installer.

Deborah S. Bardessono Collins

Deborah Susanna Bardessono Collins, 66, of Prosser, died Feb. 26 at Chaplaincy Hospice House in Kennewick.

She was born in Prosser and lived there most of her life.

She was the owner and operator for a home daycare in Prosser.

Merlin J. Gagner

Merlin Joseph Gagner, 92, of Prosser, died Feb. 28 at Prosser Memorial Hospital.

He was born in Prosser and lived in Seattle for 40 years before returning to Prosser in 1994.

He retired from Boeing in Seattle after 40 years.

Clifford Julius Butler, 95, of Mabton, died March 12 in Toppenish.

He was born in Independence, Wis., and was a longtime Yakima Valley resident.
