Clifford Groff

Clifford Groff, 90, of Kennewick, died Feb. 7 in Kennewick.

He was born in Spokane and lived in the Tri-Cities for 57 years.

He was a former journalist for the Tri-City Herald, an engineering writer at the Hanford site and a Kennewick city councilman for eight years in the 1990s.

Frank S. Tiegs

Frank S. Tiegs, 66, of Pasco, died Feb. 8 at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

He was born in Nampa, Idaho, and lived in the Tri-Cities since 1979.

He was a farmer and business owner.

Donald “Don” Leon Best, 88, of Kennewick, died Feb. 9 in Kennewick.

He was born in Yakima and lived in the Tri-Cities area for 64 years.

He was a retired nuclear technician.

Dennis Eugene Welch, 70, of Pasco, died Feb. 10 in Pasco.

He was born in Kennewick and was a lifelong Tri-Cities resident.

He was a retired driver license examiner.

Brian J. Marple, 41, of New York, N.Y., died Feb. 1 in New York.

He was born in Pasco and lived in the Tri-Cities area for 25 years.

He was a senior loan officer assistant for United Nations Federal Credit Union.
