DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — One murder trial for Tyshauwn Bryant, who’s charged in two murders related to each other just one year apart is tentatively set to begin this summer.

The trial stems from a 2020 drive-by shooting that killed a 50-year-old woman Christina Moore mistakenly in her home on Lena Street while sleeping.

Dothan Police says it started on the roadway between two groups shooting at each other- one of the groups being Tyshauwn Bryant, Dontavion McCree, Phillip Barkley Junior, and Imari Glanton.

“Moments after the shooting, those individuals believe one of the people they were shooting at was at this residence,” Lt. Hall said. “We collected over 20 rounds on the roadway the individuals that they were shooting at were not even at the residence,” says Dothan Police Lieutenant Ronald Hall.

Liteunant Hall said unfortunately Moore was innocent but became a victim. One year after that shooting, there was another victim of gun violence, Imari Glanton, who police say was a suspect in the 2020 case.

That shooting happened on Monroe Street. DPD just charged Bryant this week with his death after getting enough evidence.

“Bryant and Imari Glanton were real good friends until this happened and we dont know about what but it led to gunfire and that’s how he resolved the issue,” says Hall.

Liteunant Hall said with three to four people involved it has made the case very complex and they are all considered main suspects.

As of now, for two of the suspects, Barkley’s Jr. trial is expected to be in August and Bryant’s is tentatively set for June.

“I’m just glad we could arrest them and give the families some sort of justice,” Lt. Hall said.
