It's almost Feb. 14, and that means love is in the air.

For many pairs, Valentine's Day — despite its bloody history — supplies the perfect excuse to plan a date night and make some romance.

But any parent who has watched their child collect an assortment of little cartoon-adorned cards knows that Valentine's Day isn't just for couples: Youngsters often want to get in on the lovey-dovey fun, too.

Plus, more women are celebrating Galentine's Day, a friendly Feb. 13 occasion where they can gather their gal pals and celebrate their bond.

Fortunately, many Oklahoma City venues, museums and theaters are planning events where pleasure-seekers can celebrate Valentine's Day and Galentine's Day, with options ranging from the family-friendly Potato Dance World Championships to the steamy Adele Wolf Valentine's Affair burlesque show.
