Your two favorite spreadable and dippable snacks have joined forces to create the only one we’ll ever need. Tribe has released a peanut butter-flavored hummus, and keeping our cool is just not an option at this point.

If dessert hummus is a new thing to you, well, you’re a little late ... but welcome! A couple years ago, brands began giving typically savory hummus flavors a sweet makeover. Tribe, for example, has an insane dark chocolate hummus that tastes like it has a lot more colors and sugar than it actually does. Its portfolio is expanding with the introduction of new dessert hummus flavors.

Thanks to Instagram account @junkbanter, we know that Pea-Not Butter Hummus (which is nut-free), Cake Batter Hummus, Sea Salt Caramel Hummus, and Lemon Meringue Hummus. They've picked up all the flavors at Safeway, but hopefully it’s just a matter of time until they’re everywhere.

You’d typically dive into a container of hummus with pita bread or vegetables, but you’ll want to switch it up for the dessert options. The packaging indicates that the Cake Batter Hummus goes great with vanilla wafers, the Sea Salt Caramel Hummus goes with apples, and Lemon Meringue goes with graham crackers. We bet the Pea-Not Butter Hummus would go well with pretty much anything, because, duh, peanut butter.

Opting for a sweet hummus over the actual dessert will provide your snack with more protein and less calories and sugar. Keep these Tribe dessert hummus options on hand — so the next time you’re dying for dessert, you reach for something more health-conscious.
