Constituents of Sir David Amess gathered at the Southend Civic Center on October 16 to pay their tributes to the MP after his fatal stabbing at Belfairs Methodist Church the day before.

A 25-year-old suspect, Ali Harbi Ali, was being held under the Terrorism Act, British news reports said.

Leanne Jarvis, a former The Voice UK finalist, paid tribute to Amess and the support he’d given her, before singing Amazing Grace as balloons were released.
