Tricor brings Christmas joy to residents at Hilltop Villa

WOOSTER − For the past 16 years the elves of Tricor have provided some Christmas spirit for the crew that lives at Hilltop Villa, and on Monday the tradition continued when Tricor delivered holiday treats to the residents once again.

Hilltop Villa is an assisted living home with long-term residents. Some are newer to the facility, and some are veterans, while others have been placed by the state as they had nowhere to live. Currently there are eight men at Hilltop Villa.

The Christmas lists of the residents were made out and picked up after Thanksgiving.

"When we first started this years ago they only asked for personal hygiene products, but over the years we convinced them to ask for what they wanted not what they needed," said narketing manager Tara Sheldon. "We still see some personal items but not much.

The gifts are purchased and wrapped by the employees at Tricor and delivered to the Villa for the annual Christmas party for the residents.

"We loaded the sleigh and dropped off the wrapped gifts Monday, and had a pizza party," Sheldon added. "We have given them a wonderful Christmas over the past 16 years and with the support of Mike Stitzlein we continued the tradition again this year. Last year we were able to fill everything on their list and also provided a pizza party. This year was no different."
