By now, you’ve probably tried (or received a coupon in the mail) for a meal delivery kit. They’re everywhere! But some are better than others. Recently, I tried Gobble, the meal delivery kit that’s made to be cooked in 15 minutes — with only one pan. Not only is it super easy, but it’s super delicious too.

What is Gobble?

Gobble is a meal delivery kit that sends pre-prepped ingredients — vegetables chopped and peeled, seasoning portioned and all. Because of this, every meal can be cooked in roughly 15 minutes.

The service offers two types of meal plans: Dinner and Lean & Clean. The Dinner plan, as you can guess, is standard dinner. Choose from meals like chicken scallopini with lemon garlic cream sauce and a harvest rice medley or top sirloin steaks with smashed potatoes, spinach and three peppercorn sauce.

The Lean & Clean plan offers meals under 600 calories that include lean proteins and healthy fats. Think dishes like Thai basil chicken with green beans and brown rice or sautéed steak and vegetables.

Gobble also offers the option to add on a few breakfast, lunch or dessert options. And on the weeks you don’t want to order at all, you can easily skip your delivery. It delivers anywhere in the U.S. (excluding Montana).

My experience trying Gobble

Gobble is what I would consider a “meat-and-potatoes” meal kit. It’s great for picky eaters and those who just want a simple, great meal. Personally, I loved everything I ate.

The first meal I made was a blackened chicken breast with broccolini, potatoes, crushed pistachios and a lemon feta dressing. I’m the type who hates to read instructions, so it took me about 20 minutes to make. Had I read the recipe from the beginning, I probably could have hit the 15-minute mark. But it was still quick — and the food was really good.

I especially liked that the lemon feta sauce came prepared in a packet. With other meal kits, if there’s a sauce, you generally have to blend it or mix it together yourself while everything cooks.

The second meal I made was sirloin steak with cheesy broccoli-cauliflower gratin. While the steaks were a bit smaller than I’m used to (about 5-ounces cooked), they were incredibly tender and lean.

Overall, there were no complaints on the dinner front, though there aren’t many options for those with dietary restrictions or a plant-based diet.

How much does Gobble cost?

On your first order, Gobble is currently offering six meals for $36, no promo code required.

Regularly, Gobble costs around $11.99 per serving. There is a two- or four-person plan that ships a choice of three, four or five different dinner kits per week, meaning a three dinner kit-box costs $71.94.

All things considered, Gobble is a little more expensive than other similar meal kits like Dinnerly or Every Plate. But considering the time it saves, it’s worth every penny.
