I Tried These New Kraft Mac & Cheese "Flavor Boosters," And Here's What They're Like

If you're someone who loves mac 'n' cheese — and that should be all of you (provided you can eat it; if you have food allergies, I'm sorry!) — then, I feel like it's my duty to let you know that Kraft is coming out with these kinda wild "Flavor Boost" packets, which are essentially just seasoning packets for your mac 'n' cheese...but, honestly, they have pretty fun flavors.

The flavors they come in are pizza, buffalo, and ranch.

three packages of seasoning: pizza, buffalo, and ranch

"How do they work," you ask? It's super simple. Make your mac 'n' cheese like normal, and then just stir in the seasoning packet.

For the record, because I was taste-testing all three flavors, I opted for 1 tablespoon of seasoning per bowl of mac 'n' cheese.

Before we get into the taste test, I want to let you know that these Flavor Packets are all a part of Kraft's newly launched Flvrs Club. Joining the club is free, and it's the only way you can get your hands on these bad boys...for now. (The Flavor Boosters will hit shelves at select retail stores nationwide in early 2022.)

And now, here's what I thought about the Flavor Boosters:

OK, this legitimately tasted like I poured ranch dressing into my bowl of mac 'n' cheese, which I guess is the idea! TBH, I'm not mad about it! It definitely made the mac 'n' cheese more tangy, and I could definitely see myself eating this again.

Combining the ranch and buffalo flavors together seemed like a no-brainer, so I just went for it. And, honestly, REALLY GLAD I DID. As much as I liked the buffalo flavor on its own, this combo was the REAL winner for me! 10/10 would recommend!

OVERALL THOUGHTS: Look, Kraft mac 'n' cheese does JUST FINE on its own, but these Flavor Boosts are pretty fun, too. Would I eat them all the time? No. But that's not the point. Sometimes you just want to try something different! Also, who doesn't love ranch, pizza, and buffalo flavor?! I can definitely see kids loving these as well as anyone who loves any of those flavors...and mac 'n' cheese.
