Trina McGee of ‘Boy Meets World’ Says Danielle Fishel Apologized for Treating Her Poorly On-Set
Trina McGee from Boy Meets World revealed Danielle Fishel treated her poorly during their Girl Meets World reunion.
Trina explained that Danielle has since apologized and they’re on better terms now.
If you were a kid in the ’90s or the early 2000s, chances are Boy Meets World was on your TV constantly. And like, how could it not be? It pretty much taught us all everything we needed to know about life, love, and, most importantly, high school. But behind the scenes, it wasn’t all fun and games for everyone on-set.
Trina McGee—who played Topanga’s best friend, Angela Moore, on the show—has opened up about what it was like guest-starring on Girl Meets World, and as it turns out, her experience was not so great.
In a recent interview with Yahoo Entertainment, Trina shared that Danielle Fishel (Topanga) treated her poorly because of a personal situation she was going through during their Girl Meets World reunion. In Trina’s own words, Danielle “decided to be really tight and not talk” to her and was “rude, cold, and distant” on-set, but Trina revealed Danielle later apologized for her actions.
“When we did discuss it recently, she called me to apologize,” Trina said in the interview. “She was going through a lot at the time. And I kinda just gave it that.” She also added that her relationship with Danielle is “decent” and she’s “not trying to hang around and have a grudge against the girl….I’m just kind of slowly taking steps to trusting.”
Danielle also addressed the drama on Twitter last month after a fan called her out, wondering if she made amends with Trina for the way she acted. Danielle responded and candidly said, “I owed @RealTrinaMcGee an apology for being rude, cold & distant when she guest starred on GMW (her tweet regarding warm hellos being met with cold blank stares was about me). Trina and I spoke over a month ago and she gracefully accepted my apology.”
