Trinity Health Grand Haven adds inpatient withdrawal program

GRAND HAVEN, Mich. (WOOD) — Trinity Health Grand Haven has a new program to help people manage withdrawal symptoms.

The program, called New Vision, is an inpatient program for medical detoxification. Generally, patients will have three days of medical supervision during withdrawal from drugs or alcohol. You don’t need a referral to the program and the hospital says most insurance plans will cover it.

“We’ve witnessed the effects of addiction on patients and families in our emergency department, and now, through our partnership with the experts at New Vision, our clinicians can play an active role in helping people start their recovery journey,” Trinity Health Grand Haven President Shelleye Yaklin said in a statement.

Before being discharged, New Vision will help connect patients to substance use recovery resources.

Those with questions about the program can call 616.358.4877 during regular business hours.
