Feb. 22—A trio of Med City businesses that form a "one-stop housing solution" are solving their own space issues with a larger office in Southwest Rochester.

R. Fleming Construction, the Bella Terra land development firm and the North House real estate brokerage plan to move out of the offices they share at 300 Third Ave. SE in the Ironwood Square complex, said Drew Fleming, who owns North House with Joe Skime. R. Fleming Construction and Bella Terra are owned by his father, Bob Fleming.

"We really need more space and also we wanted a stand-alone entrance," he said. "We just launched (North House) as an independent brokerage this past summer, so we needed a little more space to accommodate some growth ... adding more agents."

The combined businesses have a total of 12 employees based in the office. North House has eight agents.

Construction is expected to start in March at 1907 Second SW, the former Med City Escape space. Tyrol Ski & Sport and the Thesis Beer Project are also based in that complex.

The Fleming companies will be going from 2,500-square-feet of space to 4,000 with the move, said Drew Fleming. If the project goes as planned, he moves to open into the new space by the end of April.

Fleming described the layout of the new office as open, allowing for more collaboration among the teams.
