Hampton police looking for suspect in triple shooting

After three people were shot in Hampton Monday night, police said the shooting was likely “domestic-related” and they are looking for a suspect.

Emergency services received a call of shots fired on Threechopt Road just before 8 p.m., according to a release from Hampton police. While on the way to the scene, officers received a second call that a man with a gunshot wound was found a Wawa gas station on 5200 block of W. Mercury Boulevard, which is about half a mile away from where the shots were fired.

The man was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Police said additional calls were made to emergency services reporting that a man and a woman walked into the hospital with gunshot wounds. Their injuries are not deemed life-threatening.

According to police, the three were at the Threechopt Road residence when “an altercation occurred,” and the suspect shot toward the victims. Police have not released any information about how the victims know each other. As of Tuesday afternoon, all the victims are in stable condition.

In an update, police said 18-year-old Reginald Lee Littlejohn, of Hampton, is a suspect in the shooting. He is charged with three counts of maiming, one count of use of a firearm in commission of a felony and one count of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Police say Littlejohn is considered “armed and dangerous.”
